DJ BOBBY MORALES

To anyone that has been part of the New York City Hustle scene since its birth in 1973, the name Bobby Morales, its music and dance have gone hand in hand. His resume as a dancer, DJ, incredible music collection, knowledge and mixing style has endeared him to the Hustle dance community for over 35 years.

Since 1991, Hustle and Disco music's resurrection, Bobby has been involved with almost every major Hustle event both locally and abroad.

Some events he's headlined include Lincoln Center's Mid-Summer Night's Swing Hustle night 11 years, International Hustle and Salsa Competition 7 years, Disco America Dance Championship 13 years, NY Hustle Congress 5 years, and Hustle USA 6 years. Other events include The Disco Classics concert @ Lehman Center, Puerto Rico Hustle Festival, St. Marteen Dance Festival and Pacific Hustle Championships. He has played such legendary clubs as China Club, Windows of the World and the original Copacabana. He's worked with numerous artists from the 70's including Linda Clifford, Loleatta Holloway, Evelyn King, Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes, Vicki Sue Robinson, Carol Douglas, Melba Moore, Kathy Sledge, France Joli, Roy Ayers, Vince Montana, Martha Wash, The Trammps, Tavares, BT Express, First Choice and Crown Heights Affair.

He ran the popular Throwback Thursdays party at Water Taxi Beach Seaport and is currently doing monthly Hustle parties in New Jersey, Westchester, L.I. and NYC. He's also program director of internet radio Station Housemasons.com. and has a weekly Monday night show dedicated to Disco Classics.

DJ HARRY T

Harry Trinidad (Harry T.) Salsa DJ/Promotor & Salsa Dance Instructor is a classic Salsa DJ from New York as well as a Promoter and Salsa Dance Instructor. He spins at private parties such as weddings, sweet sixteen parties, anniversary celebrations, etc. and at special events such as the Latino Scholarship Fund of Danbury, CT and at his Salsa in the Catskills Weekend Spectacular in the Catskill Mountains in NY. He has also DJ'd at Salsa Socials in Westchester County, NY, Aura Night Club in White Plains, NY, Mount Airy Resort and Casino in the Poconos, PA, at outdoor events such as The Danbury Green in Danbury, CT, but mostly, Harry DJ's at his own events for Salsa Picante Productions in Putnam and Dutchess Counties in NY and in Danbury, CT.

Harry is also a Salsa instructor of basic on 2 Salsa in Brewster, New York. His company, Salsa Picante Productions is helping to grow the Salsa community in Putnam, Westchester & Dutchess Counties in New York and Danbury, Connecticut. He brings live Salsa bands to the area as well as comedy shows and Salsa DJ parties.

Aside from building a community of dancers in his area, his main goal is to share his music and culture with people of all ethnic backgrounds and to help keep Salsa music thriving, and to pass it down to future generations.

ADDIE-TUDE DANCERS


Addie Diaz

Addie Diaz (Director, Choreographer & Dancer): Addie Diaz, with a background in Mambo Cha-Cha, Merengue, Hip-Hop and Jazz was trained to be a professional Latin dancer by the late Evelyn Leon. She began performing with "Dancers Fantasy Stars" and was fortunate enough to be trained by some of the best dancers in New York City. She gives Evelyn along with Mario Diaz (no relation), Angel "Negro" Rodriguez and Nelly Cotto credit for their influence in her dancing skills. She then went on to dance in Stacey Lopez's "New York Salsa Dancers". In 94' she was called to be one of the "RMM Dancers" (Ralph Mercado Management) for the "1994" & "1995" Combinacion Perfecta Tour. She has also freelanced for the "Mario Diaz Dance Revue" and with Luis Zegarra's "Fuerza Latina". Addie joined "Descarga Latina Dance Company" in 1996 where she assisted Nelson Flores, Director in running the team and along with the other members participated in new choreography. Learn more

Lori Brizzi

Voted "Person of the Year", two years in a row by the readers of DanceTalk, the country's largest newsletter for hustle dancing and has received the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Hustle Hall of Fame.

Lori started teaching when she became hooked on the hustle and social dancing. She then branched off to all different styles of partner dance. She has won numerous dance championships in International Latin, Theater Arts, and Cabaret. She is a 2 time winner of the Zacharay's Dance Contest and the popular television show, Sabado Gigante, the first win was for hustle and the second time for Latin dancing. She is also the winner of the Daily News Mambo Contest.

She was a featured performer of such prestigious dance companies as Pierre Dulaine's 'American Ballroom Theater Company" and 'Swing Dance America' performing in venues such as the Joyce Theatre, the Winter Garden at Battery Park, the Hong Kong Festival of the Arts and the Kennedy Center. She has performed at Lincoln Center, the Rainbow Room, the Copacabana, Latin Quarter, and other NYC night clubs. She has also made numerous TV and movie appearances.

Lori has taught and performed all over the world: in Germany, for Club Med, on Norwegian, Carnival, Holland America, Royal Carribbean and Costa cruise lines and is a well known dance competition judge and workshop teacher.

A renewed love of Hustle inspired her to start a monthly NYC dance party called Millennium Dance Parties, featuring Hustle, Salsa, West Coast Swing and Ballroom dancing. Because of its popularity, the party is now in it's 10th year and is held in different locations throughout NYC on Friday and Saturday nights.

Lori is the event director of a popular national dance event called The New York Hustle Congress, now in it's 8th year, which features competitions, workshops and social dancing in hustle, salsa, west coast swing and ballroom dancing. She is preparing to do her second dance cruise out of New York in the Spring of 2011.

Superstar Dj Woody is one of New York City's most exciting Dj's. Blending a style of music that ranges from Salsa to Merengue, Hiphop & R+B, Reggaeton, Soca, Cumbia, Bachata, Disco, Freestyle and House; Dj Woody is a favorite among Salsa-music fans in NYC.

Dj Woody has worked with Salsa legends such as, l Gran Combo, Victor Manuelle, Marc Anthony, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Frankie Ruiz, Tony Vega, Jose Alberto, Tito Nieves, Grupo Niche, Soneros del Barrio, Jerry Rivera, Tito Rojas, Ray Sepulveda, George Lamond, Junior Gonzalez and many other bands, singers and other entertainment acts.

Dj Woody DJ's at lounges and clubs in New York City. His latest residency has been Copa Fridays at Columbus 72, Taj Mondays, Retreat Wednesdays and Rm Fifty 5 on Sundays. He formerly worked at Les Poulet, in New York City, and had a four night residency for nearly 4 years at The Legendary Lansky Lounge on Wednesdays, Vudu Lounge Thursdays, The Wild Palm Nightclub Fridays and Side Street on Saturdays.
